We check your passport and file the e-visa

Last updated

Mongolia does not give UAE residents a special rule that we could find. Your passport decides. Some nationals are exempt from the visa for tourism up to 30 days until the end of the year. Citizens of 98 countries can get an e-visa on evisa.mn. Everyone else files a paper visa.

Which route fits your passport

British citizens may visit for tourism for up to 30 days without a visa until , per the UK foreign office. The Mongolian embassy in London says certain countries share that waiver, and it does not list them in the text we read. The e-visa has three categories: K2 tourist, K4 sports, culture and film, and K6 transit for up to 10 days. A stay over 30 days, multiple entry or a non-tourism purpose needs a visa even if your country is exempt.

Time

The London embassy says the e-visa arrives by email within 72 hours. The Mongolian embassy in Ankara gives 48 hours. A paper visa takes 3 working days, or 5 to 10 days if the case is complex. Apply a week early.

Papers

A passport valid for 6 months or more (evisa.mn says 180 days from travel), a completed form, a 5 x 4.5 cm photo for a paper visa, and proof you paid. The e-visa cannot be extended or converted.

Entry rules to know

Make sure the officer stamps your passport. Register with the Immigration Agency, which hotels do for guests. Declare cash of USD 10,000 or more. The UK foreign office also reports fuel shortages, including aviation fuel, that may disrupt flights, so confirm your airline before you go.

How it works with us

Send your passport page and the dates. An adviser checks whether you are exempt, eligible for the e-visa or need the paper route, and gives one total price. We file after you accept. The team follows the application and sends the approved visa. We are a private visa service. Mongolia decides every case.

If a visa is refused, Mongolia does not return the fee. Before payment, your adviser writes down what part of our total, if any, comes back.

Questions people ask

Do UAE residents need a visa for Mongolia?

It depends on your passport, not your UAE residence. Mongolia exempts some countries from the visa for tourism up to 30 days until the end of the year, and issues e-visas to 98 countries. We found no rule that uses UAE residence.

How does a UAE resident get a Mongolia e-visa?

Apply on the evisa.mn site if your country is on the list of 98. The Mongolian embassy in London says the e-visa arrives by email within 72 hours, with no need to visit an embassy. The e-visa cannot be extended.

What does a Mongolia visa cost?

The Mongolian embassy in London lists USD 50 for a single entry visa of 90 days and USD 65 for double entry. Multiple entry is USD 105 for 6 months. Fees on evisa.mn could not be read, so confirm them before paying.

Can British passport holders in Dubai visit Mongolia without a visa?

Yes, for tourism up to 30 days until the end of the year, according to the UK foreign office. Longer stays, work, study or business need a visa. After that date the rule may change, so check again.

How long must my passport be valid for Mongolia?

The UK foreign office and the embassy in London say at least 6 months. The evisa.mn apply page says at least 180 days from the date you travel. Use the longer cover so a border officer has no reason to question it.

Can I go near the Mongolian border from the UAE trip?

Not freely. The UK foreign office says foreign nationals are not routinely allowed into areas within 100 km of the border. Eight official border points exist for British passport holders.
