If your passport needs a visa for Morocco, you can apply for the eVisa from the UAE on your residence. Morocco's Acces Maroc conditions put UAE residents in Category B: a passport valid at least 90 days and a residency card or permit valid at least 180 days. The eVisa is single entry, valid up to 180 days, for a stay of up to 30 days.

Who needs it, and who does not

Your UAE residence does not exempt you from the Moroccan visa. Morocco decides by passport. Its list of countries whose citizens do not need an entry visa is on the consular portal, consulat.ma. Look up your passport there before you pay anyone.

If your passport is on the visa-required side, the Acces Maroc document sets three eVisa groups:

  • Category A: ordinary passport holders of listed countries, which include India, Jordan, Thailand, Vietnam, Azerbaijan and Cambodia. Passport valid at least 90 days.
  • Category B: people who need a visa and live in the EU, USA, Australia, Canada, UK, Japan, Norway, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates or Switzerland, with a residency card or permit valid at least 180 days.
  • Category C: holders of a multiple-entry non-electronic visa from Schengen, USA, Australia, UK, Ireland, Japan, Canada, Norway or New Zealand, valid at least 90 days.

For a Filipino nurse in Abu Dhabi or an Egyptian engineer in Sharjah who needs a visa, Category B is the route. An Indian in Dubai can use A or B.

Documents

Upload in jpg, jpeg or pdf, each file up to 1 MB:

  • A colour photo, 35 x 45 mm, taken in the last 6 months, to ICAO standard.
  • A clear colour copy of the ordinary passport pages with your identity and validity.
  • A double-sided copy of the residency card or permit, valid at least 180 days on the day you apply.
  • For Category C, a copy of the qualifying visa.

Only ordinary passports are accepted. Other travel documents go to the Moroccan embassy or consulate. For a family, group the applications in one file.

Steps

  1. Check eligibility on acces-maroc.ma.
  2. Fill in the application. Copy names and numbers exactly as on the passport and residence card.
  3. Attach the documents.
  4. Validate and pay. After that you cannot cancel or ask for a refund.
  5. Follow the status on your account: in process, waiting to be completed, or refused.

What the border asks for

The portal lists what to carry besides the passport and eVisa: the residence card you used, any supporting visa, a return ticket, proof of means (an international bank card or the equivalent of more than 70 euros in cash per person per day) and hospital and repatriation insurance for your whole stay. It also states that holding an eVisa does not give an irrevocable right of entry.

Under-18s with an eVisa may enter Morocco only with a parent or legal representative.

Where refusals come from

  • Residence card with fewer than 180 days left, or a renewal receipt instead of the card.
  • A one-sided card scan.
  • Photo not to ICAO standard.
  • Names that differ between the passport and the form.
  • Travelling for work or a long stay on a visit eVisa. The 30-day stay is a hard limit.

Embassy and consulate

Morocco has an embassy in Abu Dhabi, and consular appointments are requested online through the consular portal. Passports that are not ordinary, such as refugee documents, go there instead of the eVisa. We do not give an address here. Use the consular portal for the current details.

How it works with us

You can use the portal yourself. We step in when you want the category checked, when a family has mixed passports, or when a residence card scan keeps failing. Send passport copies and your Emirates ID on WhatsApp or through the form on this page. An adviser confirms the category and tells you one total price before you pay. The team files the eVisa, follows it, and sends you the document to print. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. Moroccan authorities decide the visa and entry.

The eVisa fee cannot be refunded once the application is validated. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing which part of our total, if any, comes back if the visa is refused.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Do UAE residents need a visa for Morocco?

It depends on the passport. Morocco keeps a visa-exemption list by nationality, and your UAE residence does not exempt you. If your passport needs a visa, a UAE residence gives you access to the eVisa. Check the exemption list on consulat.ma first.

How do I apply for the Morocco eVisa from Dubai?

You apply online on the Acces Maroc portal, acces-maroc.ma. UAE residents fall under Category B, so you upload a passport copy, a photo and a double-sided copy of your residence card. We can file it for you.

How long is the Morocco eVisa valid for UAE residents?

The Acces Maroc conditions say the eVisa is valid up to 180 days from issue, for a single entry and a stay of no more than 30 days. Stays from several eVisas cannot be added together.

How long does the Morocco eVisa take?

The portal gives 24 hours for the express visa and 72 hours for the standard visa, counted in Moroccan working days. Incomplete files or ones with wrong information are not covered by those times.

How long must my UAE residence be valid for the Morocco eVisa?

The residency card or permit must be valid for at least 180 days on the day you apply, and your passport for at least 90 days. Receipts, renewal receipts and work permits are not accepted as proof of residence.

Can an Indian passport holder in the UAE get the Morocco eVisa?

Yes. India is on the Category A list of the Moroccan eVisa, so an Indian citizen can use it with or without UAE residence. A UAE resident Indian can also apply under Category B. Pick whichever has the papers ready.

What do I need at the Morocco border with an eVisa?

Carry the eVisa, your passport, the residence card used in the application, a return ticket, proof of means, and hospital and repatriation insurance. The portal says the eVisa does not guarantee entry, so border officers can still check.
