We file your Uzbekistan e-visa and check the scan

Last updated

Many UAE residents can apply online for an Uzbekistan e-visa. The application page lists 20 USD for one entry, 35 USD for two and 50 USD for multiple entry. The result arrives by email as a PDF. Your passport decides if you qualify, not your residence permit. We check the list first, then file and follow the application.

Start with the passport

The official e-visa portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan asks for citizenship before anything else. On the list included India, the Philippines, Egypt, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. It did not include Bangladesh, Nigeria, Kenya or Ghana.

The list also holds countries that need no visa at all. For those, the portal says it interrupts the process before payment and tells you no visa is needed. So an application attempt is also a free way to find out. One rule is spelled out on the application page: Vietnamese citizens aged 55 or over are visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days.

If your passport is not on the list, or the e-visa is refused, the portal says to apply at a foreign office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. For a Dubai resident that means going through the embassy route, which we can help you prepare.

Fees

Entry type Government fee
Single entry 20 USD
Double entry 35 USD
Multiple entry 50 USD

The form offers ordinary passports, and the purposes tourism and business.

How the portal works

Processing happens in two stages: you make a request, then you receive the answer. The form runs through these screens in order:

  1. Country: citizenship, document type and purpose.
  2. Dates: your period of stay.
  3. Personal information, typed in English exactly as the passport.
  4. Photo and passport: a facial photo and a scan of the data page.
  5. Activation: a code sent to your email.
  6. Payment of the consular fee.

If you hold two citizenships, pick the passport you will fly with. The e-visa is valid only with that document, and a mismatch between the e-visa and the passport makes it invalid.

Documents and files

  • Passport with the data page scanned clearly (not more than 500 Kb).
  • Facial photo that meets the ICAO Doc 9303 recommendations.
  • Working email address.
  • Visa card for the fee.
  • Your planned dates in the country.

Keep the e-visa on your phone and a printout in your bag. At the border you must show a valid passport and the e-visa, printed or electronic.

Why requests go wrong

  • Details that do not match the passport.
  • Files above the size limit or a blurry scan.
  • Choosing a passport you will not use to enter.
  • Expecting a refund of the fee after a refusal.
  • Starting an application for a visa-free passport and paying anyway on a reseller site. The official portal does not charge in that case.

Neighbouring trips

Uzbekistan often pairs with Central Asian neighbours. Rules differ by passport, so read Kyrgyzstan visa for UAE residents and Tajikistan visa for UAE residents before you plan a loop. For Kazakhstan, see the Kazakhstan visa for UAE residents page.

How it works with us

Message us a photo of your passport and your dates on WhatsApp, or use the form on this page. An adviser checks the list for your citizenship and tells you whether you can use the e-visa, need the embassy route or can travel without a visa. You get one total price in writing before you pay. Then the team prepares the form, resizes and checks the scan and photo, files it and tracks the answer until the PDF reaches you. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. Uzbekistan decides every visa.

Uzbekistan keeps the consideration fee when it refuses a visa. Before you pay, your adviser puts in writing what part of our total, if any, would be returned in a refusal.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Is there an Uzbekistan visa on arrival for UAE residents?

The portal we read describes an e-visa and an embassy route, not a visa you buy at the airport. Apply before you fly. If your passport is visa-free, the portal tells you so and stops before payment.

How much is the Uzbekistan e-visa from Dubai?

The application page lists 20 USD for a single entry, 35 USD for a double entry and 50 USD for multiple entry. The fee covers consideration of the application and is not refunded, even if the visa is refused.

Can Indian passport holders in the UAE get an Uzbekistan e-visa?

India is on the citizenship list of the Uzbek e-visa application page, so an ordinary Indian passport can start an application there. The portal also stops you before payment if a visa-free rule applies to your passport.

Can Bangladeshis or Nigerians in Dubai use the Uzbekistan e-visa?

Not on the list we read on the application page. Bangladesh, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana were missing from it. Those passports apply to a foreign office of the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, such as the embassy in Abu Dhabi.

How is the Uzbekistan e-visa delivered?

By email, as a PDF, once a positive decision is made. You can follow the status on the portal. If it is refused, a message tells you to apply to a foreign office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Do I need my UAE residence permit for the Uzbekistan e-visa?

The application steps on the portal do not ask for a residence permit. They ask for your citizenship, dates, personal data, a photo, a passport scan, an email address and payment. Residence is still useful to show at the airport.

What is the Uzbekistan e-visa scan size limit?

The scan of the passport data page must be readable and not more than 500 Kb. The facial photo must follow ICAO Doc 9303 recommendations. Files that are too big are a common reason for a stalled application.
